(Istanbul) Last winter a middle-aged widow was brought to us, suffering from guilt and depression. Apparently she had been having problems with her husband, and shortly after she had wished
out loud that he were dead, he passed away. To add to her woes, a large construction company looking to gain valuable land was trying to force her out of the modest home she had lived in for the past 30 years. After we prayed for her, her spirits seemed to be somewhat lifted, and she began attending our fellowship more or less regularly. A few months later -- after a clear gospel presentation -- she said she wanted the free gift of salvation and invited Jesus into her heart. Although "Hattie" herself was not a correspondence course contact, she had been brought to us by a friend who was.
