Lone believer overjoyed to finally meet other Christians |

(North East Turkey) When we first met, N. was very discouraged, he felt ashamed that he had not continued to complete more lessons than he did (he completed more than 30!), and he was feeling the burden of being the only believer in his city. We were astonished
at N.'s depth and maturity of faith, and spent a long time talking about the Bible and about living for Christ under such difficult circumstances. His first profession of faith came after reading the New Testament and material from the BCC.
Eventually a worker from the city of Van visited him twice during the last two years, but it had been several months since he had met with any other believers. He was thrilled to have an opportunity to talk and every new book or CD that we took out of our bags had a visibly encouraging effect. We also prayed with him and asked him to pray out loud with us, which he did willingly. He asked us to continue praying that God would give him strength and faith to continue believing and living as a Christian. He described two separate dreams of Jesus that his wife has had and he has been sharing with her, waiting for her to make a decision of her own. He has also been carefully sharing with his close friends and his brother, to whom he has also given a NT. Our visit was an occasion for him to renew his commitment to Christ, which seemed to be already genuine. He has considered moving to an area where there are more believers. The idea of living in a place where there is an established congregation is very appealing to him.
